TAG Heuer Launches 3 New Monaco Watches in Time for Monaco and Indy Races

TAG Heuer has unveiled three new additions to its iconic Monaco collection, perfectly timed with the high-octane weekend of the Monaco Grand Prix and the Indianapolis 500. These fresh releases not only celebrate the brand’s enduring legacy in motorsports but also bring new innovations to the square-cased design that has become synonymous with racing precision.

Monaco Chronograph Stopwatch

The Monaco Chronograph Stopwatch is a nod to the racers who used to rely on pit-wall clocks. This 39mm timepiece features a black-and-white dial reminiscent of TAG Heuer’s 1960s dashboard timers. The black DLC-coated titanium case exudes a robust track-ready look, and the perforated calfskin strap mirrors the texture of classic racing gloves. The watch is powered by the Calibre 11 automatic movement, and only 970 pieces will be made, priced at 9,600 CHF (approximately $11,614).

Monaco Chronograph x Gulf

The collaboration between TAG Heuer and Gulf Oil returns with a limited edition of 971 pieces, honoring the 1971 Le Mans race where Steve McQueen’s cinematic legacy was solidified. The dial is adorned with Gulf’s signature light-blue and orange stripes, while the white fabric strap is crafted from the same material as McQueen’s racing suit. This model is priced at 9,300 CHF (around $11,251).

Monaco Split-Seconds Chronograph

The Monaco Split-Seconds Chronograph features the new TH-Titanium alloy, which shimmers and changes with the light. The 41mm case houses a sapphire dial and bezel, revealing the split-seconds Calibre TH81-00 movement. The watch’s design includes lime-green accents on the pushers and rattrapante hand for added legibility, while black opaline counters complete the dynamic aesthetic. Each numbered piece is fitted with a hand-stitched calfskin strap and priced at 145,000 CHF (about $175,417).

TAG Heuer’s strong association with motorsport, including its recent role as the title sponsor of the Formula 1 Grand Prix de Monaco, continues to shine through these new releases. As the Monaco Grand Prix and Indianapolis 500 rev up, these three watches serve as a reminder of the Monaco’s lasting appeal in the world of precision timekeeping and racing.
